Security Specialist Job Summary: The Security Specialist at Texas Precious Metals is responsible for warehouse security, operational oversight, and inventory control. This role ensures the safe and efficient flow of inbound and outbound packages, maintains ERP data accuracy, coordinates audits, and provides security support for tours and high-value assets. Security Specialist Responsibilities: - Transport materials between warehouse and main facility - Manage inbound and outbound package processing and tracking - Prepare contractor schedules and supervise workflow - Process abnormal orders per specific handling instructions - Maintain ERP system to reflect physical inventory positions - Lead periodic inventory audits - Monitor shipping backlog and ensure timely order fulfillment - Order and manage shipping supplies - Provide security and escort services during facility tours - Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment - Participate in shared operational tasks across departments - All other duties as assigned by management Security Specialist Skills and Competencies: - Forklift operation (training provided if necessary) - Proper firearm safety and licensing (CHL required, can be obtained post-hire) - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Intermediate proficiency in MS Office - Strong common sense and ability to follow detailed instructions - Collaborative team player with a professional demeanor Security Specialist Qualifications: - Some college coursework preferred - Experience with MS Office; familiarity with accounting, banking, or programming is a plus - Prior security experience preferred but not required - Highly detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy Security Specialist Work Environment: Work involves regular movement through warehouse and office spaces with occasional lifting and safety protocol adherence.
