Raytheon’s System Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Surface Radars & Sensors (SR&S) Center is seeking a (THAAD UAE) Technical Manual Writer, you’ll support the development of all aspects of the THAAD TMs. In this role, you’ll be part of a team of writers and illustrators in the development of operational and maintenance manuals of the THAAD program. What you will do: Assess Engineering data for impacts to existing technical content. Develop Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and other documentation, including material addressing: System functional theory Operations Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists Coordinate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs. Coordinate / support all Validation requirements and events. Conduct quality review of materials. This role will require travel (up to 20%). Ability to work independently and analyze technical documentation. Ability to set guidelines and standards Technical aptitude and self-driven Ability to mentor the newer members of the team, to grow the team. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience. Experience creating/editing written technical documentation in a military and/or civilian environment. Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 and/or S1000D. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience supporting projects in an Agile environment and Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set. Experience with Arbortext, Notepad++, and/or other program. Experience leading a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team. Knowledgeable on organizational maintenance and remove and replace techniques. Knowledgeable with radar theory and radar propagation. The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
