Job Description Position Summary A Thai Teacher at Middleton International school Bangkok is responsible for delivering high-quality Thai Language, Culture, and History lessons to both Thai and Foreign students. The role includes curriculum implementation, assessment, classroom management, student support, and participation in school cultural activities. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Create engaging daily lesson plans aligned with the school’s Thai curriculum & School framework. Teach Thai Language (reading, writing, speaking, listening), Thai Culture, and Thai History across designated grade levels. Differentiate instruction for Thai and Foreign students, beginners & advanced levels. Integrate inquiry-based learning and School transdisciplinary themes into lessons. Use modern teaching tools (ICT, manipulatives, and multimedia) to enhance learning. Maintain excellent classroom management and a positive learning environment. Assessment & Reporting Design formative and summative assessments that align with learning objectives. Mark assessments consistently and provide clear, constructive feedback. Track student progress and maintain accurate academic records. Prepare report cards and participate in parent–teacher conferences. Classroom Responsibilities Keep the learning environment clean, safe, and organised. Display student work, Thai cultural elements, and updated learning materials. Collaborate with homeroom teachers to support student welfare. Curriculum & Planning Prepare lesson plans, unit plans, and year plans as required. Participate in curriculum review and enhancement. Attend weekly departmental meetings and professional development sessions. Thai Cultural Participation Assist in the planning and execution of school-wide Thai cultural events. Prepare performances, decorations, costumes, and rehearsals (if assigned). Promote Thai culture and values appropriately within an international context. Student Support Identify students who need additional support and create intervention strategies. Work with the learning support team when needed. Communicate with parents regarding concerns or progress updates. Professional Responsibilities Maintain professional ethics and comply with school policies. Participate in school activities beyond classroom teaching (assemblies, field trips). Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude always. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Thai Education / Thai Language. Valid teaching license from the Teachers Council of Thailand. Experience in international schools (preferred). Ability to communicate in English at a functional level. Strong understanding of child development and modern pedagogy.
