Having newly reopened in July 2025 after a bit of hammerin’ and paintin’, the heart of The Laune Bar hasn’t changed.
Dating back to the 1970s, with its warm lighting, rich timber bar, and walls lined with Kerry legends and John B. Keane memorabilia, The Laune is once again a place for stories, sing-song, and the perfect pint. We’re a gathering spot in the heart of Killarney where locals and visitors alike come for the atmosphere, live trad sessions, and that unmistakable Irish welcome.
Now, we’re looking for an experienced Bar Manager to help us continue this legacy and lead our team with energy, integrity, and commercial know-how.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience managing the operations of a busy bar
• Strong leadership and excellent people skills
• A hands-on approach and the ability to work evenings and weekends
• Commercial awareness with an eye for business performance
• A passion for Irish hospitality, music, and a creamy pint
• Great attention to detail and fluency in English is essential.

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar
• Lead and support a team of bar staff to deliver efficient and exemplary service
• Assist with managing stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance
• Support with the co-ordination of live music sessions and promotion of local events
• Ensure guests receive a warm, memorable, and genuine Killarney welcome
