JOB OVERVIEW Film at Lincoln Center is seeking part-time theater staff. The theater staff team is responsible for monitoring access to our venues and engaging with all our guests, while also performing numerous duties for the daily maintenance of our spaces. We are seeking outgoing individuals who have experience in customer service and enjoy being part of a team working with the public in a fast paced arts environment. The ability to stay calm under pressure while maintaining open communication is essential.   RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: * Greeting and politely directing customers to the correct theaters * Accepting and checking tickets and organizing lines of ticket-holders  * Assisting customers in finding their seats and guests with special needs * Quickly and thoroughly cleaning all theater spaces  * Consistently maintaining the cleanliness of restrooms * Maintaining knowledge of current and future film programming and membership benefits * Preparing concessions items and maintaining cleanliness of the concession stand * Selling tickets at the Box Office  * Checking theaters for sound and/or visual problems with the film, audience cell phone usage, audience misbehavior, temperature, and fire code violations * Ensuring patron compliance with all FLC policies * Other duties as assigned  REQUIREMENTS: * Superior customer service skills demonstrating patience and professionalism * Leadership capabilities and self-motivation to perform tasks and learn new things * Outgoing personality with an interest or love of film * Maintaining composure in a high-pressure environment * Enforcing organizational policies and procedures * High level of communication with managers, co-workers, and customers * Reliability in regards to showing up for shifts when scheduled, with flexibility for change in schedules * Ability to stand for long periods of time SCHEDULE This is a part-time, hourly position requiring the ability to be available to work a minimum of 4 days a week, including 2 weekend days on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and holidays as needed. COMPENSATION $21.50/hour. This position is represented by union UAW 2110.
