Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital Join St John of God Bunbury Hospital as a casual Theatre Orderly, where you will play an important role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care within the Operating Suite. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will assist with patient care activities and provide essential support services to clinical staff, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the theatre environment. The Position Assists with the transfer, transport and care of patients and equipment as directed by the Nursing Staff, in accordance with safe practice guidelines and the relevant shift Duty Statements. Assists in the cleaning of the department in accordance with Duty Statements and Hospital cleaning protocols and procedures. Assists in the delivery and collection of meals as required and in accordance with Duty Statements. Presents a professional, courteous approach when attending to patients and all enquiries. Contributes to the development of teamwork within the department and the wider hospital community as per the Duty Statements. Communicates appropriate information to the Registered Nurse, Shift Coordinator or Nurse Manager. Attends relevant training sessions offered by SJGHC. Recognises the necessity to continually develop skills and acquire additional knowledge appropriate to the position. Achieves mandatory annual hospital competencies and assumes responsibility for record maintenance. Actively seeks opportunities for further professional development. The successful candidate will demonstrate well-developed verbal and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a diverse team. You will be highly organised, able to prioritise workload efficiently, and committed to delivering excellent customer service. You will also thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment, contributing positively to team outcomes and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
