Description:

We are looking for a highly organised and efficient individual to supervise and co-ordinate all theatre resources within Cirencester Day Surgery Unit. Although we are part of GHNHSFT, we are a remote, standalone unit which requires the support of a theatre resource co-ordinator. This role will be critical to the smooth running of theatre and effective list utilisation.
Monitoring theatre lists, communicating directly with surgeons to obtain the correct equipment and consumables needed for surgery.
Liaising with company representatives, obtaining quotes and raising direct requisitions. Generating purchase orders for acquisition approval and ensuring these items are received in a timely manner.
Arranging for CSSD to process loan instruments and sets, ensuring they are delivered ready for the day of surgery and returned for re sterilisation before collection by the relevant company.
Management of all stores, covering theatre, anaesthetics and recovery requirements along with overseeing the same processes for the ward area. Weekly ordering, receipting, date checking and stock rotation. Researching and sourcing new items for all areas when required.
Managing our unit’s current stock of sterile sets and instruments, ensuring they are in date, undamaged as well as traced and returned from CSSD, available for procedures when required.
Management of consignment stock, liaising with outside companies and partners to maintain these stock levels and replace items when necessary.
Responsible for ensuring all theatre equipment is serviced when required and within good working order
Responsible for Departments Stock Take, to include yearly submission of stock levels, prices and codes.
Cirencester Treatment Centre has a small, friendly team who support each other with the diverse skills they possess. Cirencester Hospital is situated in lovely grounds with a Roman Amphitheatre and Cirencester town nearby. Parking is free on site for both patients and staff.
