About The Role: The Revenue Department is responsible for Patient Health Fund Eligibility confirmations, patient estimates. Processing all hospital patient claims in accordance with Health Fund Contractual Agreements. Receipting of payments from funds and patients. Collection of outstanding debt from both patients and health Funds. Liaise with patients, doctors, surgeries and other internal stakeholders as required. Processing of sundry revenue and fundraising and donations management. About You: Previous experience within a Patient Accounts/Materials Management Environment. Previous experience working within Hospital Procedural Services environments (i.e. Theatre, Cardiac Cath Labs, Endoscopy, etc.) or Central Sterilising Services Department environment. Experience and skills working with and charging of prosthesis, rebatable items and loan sets in a Private Healthcare environment. Ability to interpret the Health requirements with respect to accounting, revenue and billing policies. Experience and skills using a recognised Financial Management Information System in a large organisation and advanced user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of private health insurance industry (highly desired). Working knowledge of Medicare rules. Why Work at St Vincent’s?
