THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking Theatre Technicians to work as part of our Theatre Team. Within this position you will work as a member of the perioperative team by supporting and supervising theatre personnel to prepare the operating theatre environment for procedures.

Duties in this role will include:

  • Prepping surgical theatres for a variety of different procedures
  • Assisting with the safe transfer of patients on and off the operating table
  • Undertake designated cleaning tasks in accordance with Infection control policies and procedures
  • Assisting in the theatres where required by other clinical staff
  • Maintaining surgical equipment and patient positioning devices
  • Transporting and supporting theatre patients throughout their Perioperative journey.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service who enjoys being part of a busy team.

You will also bring:

  • 1-year minimum Tech experience within an operating theatre (Desired)
  • Certificate III in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent (Essential). Cert IV highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a diverse, fast paced team
  • The flexibility to work a rotating roster and participate in the on-call roster
  • Understanding of infection control and manual handling procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
