Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Technician to support the delivery and maintenance of the Theatre of Light Dream Point Experience. This role combines hands-on technical operations with occasional facilities and maintenance support, ensuring a seamless visitor experience and the smooth running of the venue. The Technician will play a key role in managing AV systems, projection mapping technology, and liaising with external
suppliers, while also assisting in budget monitoring and reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV systems, projection mapping equipment,
lighting, and sound to ensure high-quality daily shows and events.
 Assist in the planning, setup, and decommissioning of immersive experiences,
exhibitions, and events.
 Work with external suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of services and
adherence to safety standards.
 Support the General Manager in monitoring budgets, tracking expenditure, and
preparing technical/maintenance reports.
 Ensure all operations comply with health and safety policies, risk assessments, and
technical regulations.
 Provide facilities and maintenance support as required, including oversight of venue
infrastructure and minor repairs.
 Contribute to the development of new technical solutions and enhancements for visitor
engagement.
Skills & Experience
 Proven experience in technical theatre, live events, or immersive/experiential
environments.
 Strong knowledge of AV systems, projection mapping, and lighting control.
 Practical knowledge of facilities maintenance and contractor management.
 Budget tracking and reporting experience desirable.
 Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
