JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to enhance the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is essential.
  • Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with special education practices is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with young people, families, and team members.
  • Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Relevant qualifications in health or social care would be beneficial but not mandatory. We welcome applications from individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through dedicated care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to young people, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • · To work on a rota basis according to the needs of young people
  • To ensure that resources are allocated appropriately, and financial records are accurately maintained under the direction of the Registered Manager and or Responsible Individual
  • To receive supervision in line with Quality Standards & Regulations and to take responsibility for personal development and progress of individual training needs
  • To carry out all other reasonable tasks as directed by the Registered Manager and/or the Responsible individual
  • Implement individual care plans tailored to each client’s specific needs.
  • Support children and adults with autism and other disabilities in developing life skills.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor young people for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Engage young people in social and recreational activities to promote their well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of young people progress and report any concerns to the supervising staff.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.
