Description Employer: HOPE Clinic Position Title: Therapeutic Optometrist Position Description: Diagnose and treat eye diseases/conditions, including prescribing medications to manage these issues, perform procedures like foreign body removal, and provide vision therapy, all while focusing on medical aspects of eye health and vision preservation. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and ocular health. Diagnose/manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Prescribe/fit eyewear and contact lenses tailored to patients' needs. Provide pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery. Educate patients on proper eye care/preventative measures. Utilize advanced diagnostic tools/technologies to monitor and treat eye conditions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care. Manage emergency eye care situations and provide appropriate interventions. May work at other HOPE Clinic sites in Harris County. Requirements: Doctor of Optometry (D.O.) or foreign equivalent. TMOD certified, must possess a Texas Optometry license and must have completed residency training in vision rehabilitation, ocular disease, or related field. Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin. Location of Positions: 7001 Corporate Drive, Suite 120, Houston, Texas 77036. May work at other HOPE Clinic sites in Harris County.
