Description

Main duties of the job
The Therapeutic Practice Lead - Complex Mental Health & Trauma is a senior specialist role responsible for overseeing the care of clients with complex mental health needs, emotional dysregulation, and personality disorder. Working within a trauma-informed, person-centred framework, the postholder ensures that clinical care plans often developed under the oversight of the Court of Protection are implemented safely and in line with legal and best practice standards.
They will liaise with external professionals, provide clinical supervision to staff, support the appropriate use of physical intervention, lead debriefs, and contribute to safeguarding processes. A key part of the role involves developing and delivering training aligned with current best practice in areas such as PBS, safeguarding, and trauma-informed care.
We are therefore seeking someone with a strong understanding of mental health legislation and a genuine passion for teaching and practice development.
