Summary: Are you a creative person who loves activities, crafts and games?  Come join the most fun department in town! At Community LIFE, our Activities Assistant helps the Activities Coordinator with the planning, organization, coordination and implementation of therapeutic activities for older adults at our day center. The work duties vary on a day-to-day basis- you will not be bored in this job! A Driver's license is required for this position, as you will occasionally travel to homes within the community to do activities with our participants.  Location: McKeesport, PA Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm Required Education:  High School diploma or GED with the willingness to continue with credit and non-credit classes to advance and enhance skills. Required Experience:  One year experience working with the frail or elderly. One year experience providing therapeutic activities in a social setting.  Required Skills:   * Ability to work cooperatively with Activities Coordinator and Day Center staff. * Willingness to use skills, talents, and creativity to enhance and advance activity programming format.   * Ability / knowledge to take on leadership role in the absence of Activities Coordinator  About us:  Community LIFE is a program of all-inclusive care for the elderly, committed to empowering older adults to remain at home while preserving their dignity, independence and quality of life.
