Responsibilities

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Therapeutic Residential worker to join our team. In this role you will provide the central support to our children who have faced challenging life experiences, helping them to grow and thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.
As Therapeutic Residential worker you will follow established care plans, implementing supportive interventions, and completing necessary paperwork, as well as facilitating engaging activities that promote emotional and social development.
You work closely with multidisciplinary team to ensure that each child needs are met, fostering a sense of stability and trust. Strong communication skills, empathy, and a solid understanding of supportive care practise are crucial for the success in this role.

In the role of Therapeutic Residential Worker, you will be promoting Action for Children’s values as well as supporting the Registered Manager and team to achieve positive outcomes in the lives of our young people. You will do this by:

  • Having a positive proactive outlook in providing support to children.
  • Taking responsibility for the personal care and the daily needs of the young people.
  • Being resilient in supporting children through challenging situations.
  • Being responsible for the safeguarding of young people.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records
