We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing Therapeutic Residential Worker to join our team to build meaningful relationships with our young people, supporting them to thrive and reach their full potential. You will be a positive role model to the young people in our care, with the ability to maintain boundaries to keep our young people safe whilst meeting their emotional and developmental needs.
Whether you are already experienced in residential childcare or looking for a new career, we want to hear from you! It would be great if you have an NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, but if not we will fully support you to achieve this qualification.
At SWAAY, we don’t just provide residential care – we create homes where children feel safe and valued, providing them with the stability, care and opportunities they deserve. We are proud of our child-centred approach, commitment to trauma-informed practice and drive to achieve the best possible outcomes for every young person.
For over 30 years, we have been committed to providing specialised, high-quality residential care, education and therapy for young males, aged 11-18 with developmental trauma who have displayed sexually harmful behaviour. We work to reduce the risk our young people pose, meet their complex needs and help them to manage their physical and behavioural difficulties, so they can leave their past traumas behind, build healthy relationships and lead responsible and rewarding adult lives.
