EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Relevant qualifications in counselling and/or psychotherapy, e.g. minimum of Level 4 Diploma in counselling or psychotherapy or higher.
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within counselling and therapy services.
  3. Experience in leading mental health services, including both clinical and non-clinical support.
  4. Experience in budget management and resource allocation.

KNOWLEDGE

· Knowledge of mental health issues, and the ability to work with a range of professionals and stakeholders.
· Understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding protocols, and mental health service standards.

ABILITIES

  1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
  2. Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams and providing supervisions.
  3. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work under pressure in challenging situations.
  4. An ability to plan and coordinate rotas.
  5. Ability to provide on-call support.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  1. Experience in service and project development within the mental health sector.
  2. Knowledge of current mental health policies, therapeutic frameworks, and commissioning arrangements.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Service Lead to support our therapeutic services to fulfil their mission. This role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of therapeutic services, ensuring they are delivered effectively and with high standards of care. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and play a key role in the development and continuous improvement of services on behalf of Nottinghamshire Mind, ensuring you are responsive to the needs of clients and aligned with our values. Our therapeutic services operate in the evenings with plans to extend to weekends therefore an element of evening and weekend working will be required.
