Description

ABOUT AUGURY HEALTHCARE

Augury Healthcare is looking for a Registered Psychotherapist, and a Social Worker (MSW Preferred) to provide services to Durham community members who face multiple barriers to their health and well-being. Our services are designed to prioritize the needs of equity-seeking and underserved communities, including Indigenous, Black, 2SLGBTQI, Newcomers, Seniors, and individuals without a family doctor.
At Augury Healthcare, we work as an interprofessional team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, counselors, dietitians, outreach workers, medical secretaries, and administrative staff. Every client is at the center of our approach to care, and we address their needs through integrated clinical and wellness care and health education.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a member of the Counselling Services Team, the Therapist/Counsellor provides psychotherapy and mental health counseling services to individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing mental and emotional health disorders, relationship issues, and life challenges. This includes working with 2SLGBTQI community members, with a particular focus on areas of gender identity.
The Therapist/Counsellor will be an effective, collaborative team member, working internally with Augury Healthcare’s interdisciplinary team and in partnership with external providers to ensure clients receive holistic, integrated care.
