JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking to hire a registered psychotherapist or social worker to support our clinics growing demand for EMDR therapy. Lotus Counselling is a team of twenty therapists who have come together to deliver evidenced based psychotherapy in a healthy, supportive, and enjoyable workplace environment.

BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Licensed psychotherapy provider in Ontario, registered in good standing as an MSW, RP, C.Psych, or C.Psych.Assoc.
  • Masters-level (or equivalent) training in Social Work (Clinical Focus), Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Psychotherapy or a related field from a reputable institution.
  • Minimum of 2,500 hours/3 years of post-graduate clinical experience (community, hospital or private practice)
  • Specialization or experience in Trauma / PTSD Treatment: EMDR preferred
  • Experience with First Responders an asset
  • Additional training and experience in evidence-based psychotherapy treatment approaches such as ACT, CBT, DBT, ERP, EFT, MI, attachment-focused therapy, or other evidence-based approaches.
  • Professional malpractice liability insurance in place (or able to secure).
  • Comfortable and experienced using technology to provide psychotherapy.
  • Availability to offer 20-25 appointments per week to clients in office and virtually (primarily in-person preferred)

PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:

  • Certification and membership with EMDR association
  • Specialization or experience in Trauma / PTSD Treatment, working with First Responders
  • A willingness to continue engaging in clinical supervision and professional development
Responsibilities
  • Provide EMDR to clients
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage case documentation and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Stay updated best practices in trauma therapy.
  • Engage in regular clinical consultation or supervision
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $100.00-$120.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
