Your Job Opportunity The Therapist provides outpatient counseling services to older adults (60 and over) in both their homes and in our Westerville, office focusing on supporting their independence and promoting good mental health. This position requires the ability to work at least one evening per week. •Provide individual counseling to older adults, addressing their mental health needs. •Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs. •Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Electronic Health Records. •Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. •Manage time effectively to meet productivity and documentation requirements. Requirements Qualifications Needed for Success for Therapist for Older Adults •Master’s degree in social work with license – either LISW or LPCC, required; experience providing therapy/counseling preferred. •Enrolled on Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and/or private insurance panels preferred. •Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. • Ability to maintain thorough, timely, well documented treatment plans, case notes and intake summaries, illustrating caseload measurable treatment progress in computerized medical records system. •Must have working knowledge of mental illness, psychiatric symptoms, and their impact on functioning and behavior working with older adults and understanding their unique challenges. •Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
