JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic modalities. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals, families, and groups facing a range of emotional and psychological challenges. The Therapist will work collaboratively with clients to develop treatment plans that promote healing and personal growth.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid licensure as a therapist or counselor in the state of practice.
  • Experience working with children, families, and diverse populations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate medical records management.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing remote counseling services.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and documentation practices.
  • Ability to work effectively within inpatient or outpatient settings as needed.
  • Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its implications for patient care is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address mental health issues.
  • Utilize various therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide crisis management support for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices.
  • Offer specialized counseling services such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, and PTSD care.
  • Implement behavior management strategies for clients with developmental disabilities or autism.
  • Facilitate art therapy or dance therapy sessions as appropriate for client needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
