About the Role: Beacon's IOP in Alexandria is seeking to add PRN Therapists to our team.   Our therapists play a critical role in the initial assessment and ongoing therapeutic support of individuals entering an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive intake evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs and appropriate treatment plans. The therapist collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective intervention strategies. By providing compassionate, evidence-based therapeutic services, the therapist helps clients develop coping skills and achieve measurable progress toward recovery. Ultimately, this role contributes to improving clients' overall well-being and facilitating their successful transition through the continuum of care. Minimum Qualifications: * Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related mental health field. * Current licensure as LMSW, LCSW PLPL, LPC, LMFT * Experience conducting clinical assessments and developing treatment plans in a behavioral health setting. * Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches relevant to IOP populations. * Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience working specifically within Intensive Outpatient Programs or similar levels of care. * Training or certification in trauma-informed care, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or motivational interviewing. * Bilingual abilities to serve diverse client populations. * Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in behavioral health environments. * Familiarity with substance use disorder treatment and co-occurring mental health conditions. Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, substance use history, and psychosocial factors. * Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and client goals. * Provide individual and group therapy sessions within the IOP framework, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities. * Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care. * Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards. * Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes. * Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development activities. Skills: The required and preferred skills are essential for delivering high-quality therapeutic care in an IOP setting. Clinical assessment skills enable the therapist to accurately identify client needs and formulate effective treatment plans. Proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as CBT and DBT allows the therapist to tailor interventions that promote client engagement and recovery. Strong communication and collaboration skills facilitate effective teamwork with other healthcare providers, ensuring coordinated and comprehensive care.
