Our mission is to provide hope, healing, and healthcare to everyone. If you enjoy working with children 14-17 years of age, then our Therapist position may be the right fit for you at our Youth Residential Campus, New Directions. In operation since 1981, New Directions, Inc. provides a full continuum of treatment programming for adolescents struggling with a primary substance abuse disorder, as well as co-occurring mental health concerns. The facility also accepts pregnant adolescents. Located in Pepper Pike, Ohio, the facility provides gender-specific residential programs, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), and traditional outpatient programs. New Directions does not provide medical detoxification services on-site. The Therapist performs diagnostic assessments and clinical services within the office setting. This position is responsible for individual, family & group counseling along with crisis intervention services and case management. This licensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health. Position may be specific to residential or outpatient clients & families or a combination of both More specifically, this therapist role is primarily responsible for the following: Provide trauma informed services to clients and their family system. Provide accurate, concise and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies. Including, but not limited to diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners and clients’ treatment teams. Promote New Directions services and engage in outreach activities. Providing practical skills focused individual therapy. Makes referrals for clients and/or family members as appropriate. Identifies potential areas for crisis and proactive plans to prevent it. Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, Master's preferred LSW or LPC required. 2 years experience working with adolescents and their families involving addiction and mental health treatment Experience working with parents and legal guardians of the clients in a family counseling setting. Must have valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less). Our Organization is committed to equal employment opportunity.
