Description

Healing Journey Services is seeking mental health professionals (MSW/RSW, Registered Psychotherapist) to join our growing team.
It will be within the therapy team and will include the provision of therapy services only. Applicants must be registered in Ontario as a psychotherapist, psychologist or social worker. Please note this is an independent contractor position. This position is a combination of in person and in our Port Elgin office.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have EMDR training**
  • Must be available some evenings**
  • Must be comfortable working with trauma
  • Experience working with mood disorders, anxiety disorders, self-harm, suicidal ideation, anger management, trauma therapy, simple and complex PTSD.
  • Specific training in CBT, ACT, IFS and other trauma informed practices is preferred.
  • The therapist must be aligned with somatic experiencing therapy, internal family systems, compassionate inquiry, polyvagal theory and other therapy modalities that take a bottom-up approach.
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in providing therapy
  • Must be have a Masters or equivalent – preferably MSW
  • Must be registered with the CPO, CRPO or OCSWSSW or other relevant regulatory bodies. Please do not apply if you are only a qualifying psychotherapist.
  • Must be willing to work some evenings and/or weekends, as these are the times many clients request
