JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Therapy Assistant to join our team and assist in providing behavioural therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals in need of rehabilitation services.

EXPERIENCE

• Knowledge of acute care, medical terminology, and pediatrics is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy
• Experience in childcare or therapy

Please note that for those without direct experience working with children with ADHD and AUTISM in the context of therapy in the Canadian, a volunteer work practicum experience option is a way to still be able to qualify for the position as the company does not hire without previous direct experience. Once certified after a period of 80-160 hours based on experience and interview performance the candidate will be moved into their paid contract. This applies solely for applicants without direct experience in the field. Work Location: Hybrid remote in Calgary, A

• Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities
• Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions
• Collaborate with the therapy team to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and exercises
• Maintain accurate patient records and reports
