Description
We are looking for a talented Thermal and Fluid Systems Engineer to join our team specializing in Engineering in Milano, Lombardia, Italy This position follows a hybrid work model (60% on-site / 40% remote).  In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: * You will combine high-fidelity 3D CFD/kinetics with 1D system-level modelling to assess Aftertreatment system architectures and support design optimization. * You will perform Chemical Kinetics modelling and conjugate heat transfer analysis to improve the performance and durability of critical Aftertreatment components. * You will use thermal, fluid sciences and chemical kinetics to evaluate system and component performance, helping guide technical decisions that support advanced, efficient, and environmentally responsible products. * You will develop and apply 3D CFD/kinetics models and simulation workflows for current and future compression ignition and spark ignition engine technologies. * You will investigate thermal-fluid product or technology issues, identify root causes, recommend corrective actions, and document results to support problem resolution. * You will contribute to platform engineering development programs by helping fulfil open-loop and closed-loop Aftertreatment simulation requirements. * You will strengthen analysis-led product development by improving modelling, simulation, testing, and data-analysis processes. * You will collaborate with engineers, technical leaders, project teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders to deliver clear recommendations that support high-quality project decisions.
