Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven engineer to join our growing Thermal Systems Platform team. In this role, you will lead the design and development of thermal system components supporting both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electrified powertrain vehicles.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in thermal system and HVAC component design.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience with Catia V5, including 3D modeling and drawing creation.
  • Strong command of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects and collaborate across functions.
  • Willingness to work up to 20% overtime as project needs demand.
  • Ability to travel as required (domestic and international).

Responsibilities
  • Thermal Systems Development: Lead the coordination and execution of thermal system component design, from initial concept through production launch.
  • Full Lifecycle Ownership: Manage development milestones using structured vehicle development methodologies, ensuring alignment with project cost, timing, quality, and performance targets.
  • CAD Design Execution: Create and review 3D models and detailed drawings using Catia V5. Guide and collaborate with CAD modelers and supplier engineers to ensure robust design execution.
  • Packaging & Layout Studies: Conduct thorough packaging studies and layout validation to ensure optimal integration of components in complex vehicle environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with suppliers and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues and ensure feasibility throughout the development process.
  • Issue Management & Process Improvement: Identify and visualize technical gaps, manage issue resolution, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Travel: Travel to suppliers, North American manufacturing sites, and overseas facilities as needed.
  • Communication: Provide clear and consistent communication with internal and external teams to drive project alignment and execution.
  • Project Management: Organize priorities and deliverables, adjusting project plans as needed to achieve key milestones.
