Description Key Responsibilities Laboratory & Data Management Collect material and product samples directly from the production line. Perform all required laboratory tests and maintain meticulous records. Standards Compliance: Conduct testing in strict accordance with relevant ASTM and ISO standards to ensure global quality benchmarks are met. Analyze data trends and report all findings directly to the Thermoplastics Manager. Process Optimization Manage & optimize the process, ensuring proper temperature control and particle size distribution for specialized material preparation. Monitor and adjust machine setups and processing parameters to ensure peak efficiency and quality. Propose and implement new "recipes" (material blends) and equipment configurations. Troubleshoot technical issues on the floor in real-time. Some experience in extrusion set ups and particle size reduction is preferred. Research & Development (R&D) Lead and execute R&D testing for new materials or product lines. Identify opportunities for process improvement and formally request/coordinate production trials. Quality & Compliance Perform daily audits of active processes to ensure adherence to established Standards. Assist the Manager in drafting and refining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation. Work closely with the Production Lead to ensure the crew is following the "Gold Standard" set-ups. Requirements Education & Experience Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years in a manufacturing environment (Thermoplastics preferred). Technical Background: Proven experience operating lab testing equipment and/or industrial processing machinery. Specialized Knowledge: Prior experience with Extrusion and Milling equipment and liquid nitrogen handling is highly preferred.
