Responsibilities
  • Topic description:
  • The design of production systems and mechanical seals from a hygienic point of view is becoming increasingly important in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Hygienic design gives microorganisms such as bacteria or fungi little opportunity to settle and multiply. It also enables the systems to be cleaned quickly and thoroughly. A test rig and a test methodology for the defined cleaning of components were developed and constructed as part of previous theses.
  • In this thesis / internship, the test bench and the test methodology are to be further developed and optimised. Furthermore, different components are to be analysed for their cleanability. The aim is to derive constructive improvements on the basis of reproducible test results.
  • The work includes the following points:
  • Research on the state of the art
  • Further development of the existing test bench and testing methodology
  • Planning, execution, and evaluation of experiments
  • Derivation of constructive improvement proposals
  • Construction of test devices
