To perform the duties as a 3rd CLASS ASSISTANT ENGINEER reporting to the Chief Operating Engineer and / or their Designate.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• A valid 3rd class Operating Engineers Certificate, certified by the Province of Ontario
• A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience with maintenance, power plant operations, water chemical treatment, HVAC and services distribution systems, DDC and BMS control systems.

• Help operate and maintain the Energy Conversion Center.
• Respond to service requests and fill out work orders.
• Make minor repairs and adjustments to HVAC equipment.
• Use DDC and BMS systems to monitor and operate building equipment.
• Test and treat water in cooling towers, pools, and loop systems.
• Perform basic maintenance on HVAC and steam systems.
• Do regular equipment checks, take readings, and make adjustments.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
