He whakamārama ot e tūranga mahi | About the role: The Third Officer Engineer is the watchkeeper in the engine room and responsible for maintaining a safe engineering watch. You’ll oversee and assign duties to the Motorman relating to the watch. When not on watch you’ll carry out maintenance of the ship’s machinery, equipment and structure as directed by the First Officer Engineer. Responsibilities

The Third Officer Engineer acts as the watchkeeper in the engine room, maintaining a safe engineering watch and overseeing duties assigned to the Motorman. Outside of watch duties, they are responsible for carrying out maintenance on the ship's machinery, equipment, and structure as directed.
