Contract: 6 – 12 Months

Day Rate: £650 - £750 per day (umbrella)

Location: London, Hybrid

I am currently seeking an experienced Third-Party Risk Manager for a leading organisation within the insurance sector on an initial 6–12 month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a third-party risk specialist to take ownership of the risk management framework, strengthen governance and oversight, and support regulatory compliance across UK-regulated insurance entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the third-party risk management framework, policies and controls
• Oversee the full third-party lifecycle, including due diligence, onboarding, ongoing monitoring, renewals and exits
• Establish and lead third-party risk governance forums, providing clear reporting and escalation to senior leadership
• Maintain accurate third-party registers and coordinate regulatory reporting requirements
• Assess and challenge risks relating to outsourcing, operational resilience, cyber security, data protection and subcontracting
• Monitor material supplier arrangements, concentration risks, control gaps and remediation activity
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Information Security and business stakeholders
• Support regulatory engagement, audit reviews and continuous improvement of the control environment

Key Requirements

• Significant experience in third-party risk management, outsourcing risk, operational risk or supplier assurance
• Experience within insurance or financial services
• Strong working knowledge of PRA SS2/21, FCA SYSC outsourcing requirements and operational resilience expectations
• Proven experience managing third-party risk frameworks, governance processes and enterprise risk registers
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytical and report-writing skills, with experience presenting to senior committees
• The ability to provide constructive challenge and drive remediation across multiple business functions
