WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Third-Party Risk Manager to play a key role in the ongoing development and embedding of our Outsourcing and Third-party Risk Management Policy. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape, including DORA and will play a pivotal role in supporting risk assessments, governance activities and monitoring of third-party risk, whilst coordinating various stakeholders.
Travelers Europe currently offers flexibility to employees who wish to work on a hybrid basis in accordance with our Hybrid Work Arrangements Policy. This entails full time employees working three days a week in the office and two days at home (or pro rata for part-time employees). This policy may be changed at the Company’s discretion.

What Will You Do?

  • Responsible for embedding Third-Party Risk Management policies and procedures into the business and support embedding of Operational Resilience (and DORA) policies
  • Review and update policy and procedure documents.
  • Work in partnership with relevant departments (e.g. IT, Procurement, Business Continuity, Underwriting, Delegated Authority, Claims) to develop and ensure a consistent approach is applied in line with policy.
  • Work closely with business owners to ensure completion of due diligence and risk assessment of third-party vendors and partners.
  • Work closely with business owners to ensure effective and robust resilience and third-party risk management controls are in place and translate performance measures such as KPIs and SLAs into meaning reporting
  • Lead the collation of and assessing of the performance of vendors and challenging performance metrics
  • Liaise with Legal team to ensure contract updates have been executed
  • Own maintenance of third-party register to meet UK, Ireland and DORA requirements and liaising with stakeholders to remediate any incomplete information
  • Work with the business to ensure DORA is appropriately embedded in TPRM arrangements
  • Own maintenance of exit plans, including working with business owners to complete and document
  • Act as key point of contact for Business Owners seeking support on third-party risk activities
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging regulations affecting third-party risk management and operational resilience.
  • Work with Operational Resilience Lead to ensure alignment of key activities, such as scenario testing, accuracy of Important Business Service (IBS) mapping and oversight of third parties supporting IBS.
  • Develop and deliver and required training to the business

  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
