SUMMARY:

Responsible for facilitating the day-to-day inbound and outbound flow of trailers and routing. Coordinates daily back-hauls tendered from AutoZone logistics and reviews and approves weekly carrier and vendor billing. Directly responsible for ensuring trailer fleet is working within DOT compliance. Directly responsible for managing the execution of daily tactical and administrative assignments of the transportation department including fleet maintenance duties.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Three to five years experience in Transportation, Logistics, Operations Management, and/or General Business.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree (two-year program) or equivalent formal training program.
  Compensation Range (USD): MIN 50600.0 - MID 67500.0 - MAX 84500.

• Coordinating trailer assignment.
• Monitor dispatching of third-party carrier.
• Managing in house day to day third-party carrier issues.
• Accepting or declining back-hauls based on driver availability and back-haul location.
• Troubleshooting transportation management systems.
• Managing store issues pertaining to driver schedules. “Where’s my truck” calls.
• Managing on the road driver specialist issues ( breakdowns, accidents, back-haul vendor delays, etc.)
