We are seeking three student research assistants to help conduct research on cultural entrepreneurs in the Danish and European context. You will be supporting the project ‘Cultivating Women Tech Founders in Denmark’, and your work will engage with the relationship between gender, technology and art in the work of entrepreneurs. We will be accepting applications on a rolling basis. Application materials include (1) CV, (2) cover letter (one-page letter stating your motivation, research experience, skills, and capabilities), and (3) optional one academic writing sample (such as a student thesis or essay).

Tasks:

  • Reviewing literature and producing write-ups of key texts related to entrepreneurship, technology, culture, and gender.
  • Making contact with cultural institutions in the mid-Jylland region (i.e. arts centres and business incubators), and conducting interviews, observations and workshops.
  • Conducting interviews with the entrepreneurs, experts, and industry leaders.
  • Data management tasks such as transcription and qualitative coding.

Qualifications:

We are looking for students from social sciences (e.g. entrepreneurship or business studies, sociology, anthropology, and other related fields) who have interest in studying cultural entrepreneurship. You will:

  • Be independent, self-motivated and structured.
  • Familiar with research processes, particularly qualitative methodologies.
  • Be confident in academic reading and writing.
  • Able to take trip occasional fieldtrips to different locations and create relationships with actors in the cultural ecosystem of Denmark, particularly mid-Jylland.
  • Preferably based near Aarhus.
