PURPOSE: As a Thrift Store/Boutique Associate, you'll be part of a fun, fast-paced environment where every day brings new treasures and opportunities to make a difference. You'll help create an exceptional shopping experience by assisting customers, processing sales, organizing unique merchandise, and working alongside a supportive team that values collaboration and community. Requirements Job Responsibilities: Provide excellent customer service in a professional and kind manner with customers, donors, volunteers, and team members. Operate the cash register and handle cash accurately; experience as a cashier preferred. Price and merchandise items accurately, maintaining a good understanding of the value of thrift store items. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area, including backroom processing and donation management. Assist with opening and closing store procedures, restocking, displays, and reporting procedures for cash register and credit card transactions. Help process donations, deal with vendors, and support other team members as needed. Work collaboratively with coworkers and be a self-starter, reliably completing assigned tasks. Safely operate store vehicles as needed (clean driving record required; ability to drive box truck and truck/trailer). Follow all safety guidelines, including OSHA standards and safe lifting techniques. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely. Must be able to walk up and down stairs as required. Must be able to stand or be on feet for extended periods throughout the workday. Comfortable performing repetitive tasks and moving items throughout the store. Qualifications: Strong customer service and communication skills. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Previous retail, thrift, or cash handling experience is a plus ** The safety of our employees is a primary concern of Switchpoint.
