Job Description: Business Overview Rakuten's Entertainment Content Business encompasses a range of services, including Rakuten Ticket (handling various event tickets), Rakuten Books, eBooks (kobo/MAGAZINE), and the TV streaming service. In 2023, the entertainment-related businesses were reorganized and integrated to create greater synergy. Department Overview Rakuten Ticket handles tickets for various events as a ticketing service of Rakuten Group. We handle tickets for a variety of genres, including music, theater, sports, and leisure facilities. Rakuten Ticket is also involved in providing NFT ticket services and ticket sales management systems for exhibitors, as well as planning our own events. As a core business of the entertainment content business, our mission is to increase the value of the entire Rakuten Group, and this is an attractive position where you can take on the challenge of creating new value in collaboration with other Rakuten services. The Ticket Sales Department is a sales organization that proposes a wide range of services offered by Rakuten Tickets. Our main clients are event organizers, but we also do business with clients in other industries. In addition to sales activities for clients, we are responsible for a wide range of tasks, from sales to client support for outsourced companies, ticket sales settings and promotional activities using our in-house system, and on-site support on the day of the event. Position: Why We Hire The Ticket Sales Department is seeking new team members to further enhance value for our customers and expand our organization. Position Details The candidate will be responsible for all sales operations for the various services offered by Rakuten Tickets. This position will allow you to utilize your communication skills with clients by considering the perspectives of both ticket buyers and clients and proposing and planning various sales methods. Main tasks - Developing and proposing new clients - Coordinating and handling various projects with existing clients and external contractors (from adjusting ticket sales specifications to system configuration and settlement) - Supporting the customer service department in handling inquiries from ticket buyers - Registering, creating, issuing, checking sales status, and analyzing tickets using the ticket sales management system - Collaborating and meeting with other departments within the Rakuten Group, internal staff, the system development department, etc. Work Environment Organizational Structure: - Rakuten Ticket, Inc.: Approximately 40 employees - Ticket Sales Department: Approximately 25 employees (Male-to-female ratio 3:2, average age early 30s) Team Composition: - The team is largely composed of mid-career hires. - While many members have experience in the entertainment business industry, a significant number of transferees from different industries, such as those with experience in marketing, new business planning, and system development sales, are also actively contributing.
