With our first acquisition in 2002, Indus Management Group currently manages 38 apartment complexes in the Houston area. Job Summary: The Ticket Runner ensures overall maintenance of the property by troubleshooting and repairing all aspects of the apartments, leasing office, and property areas. This includes, but is not limited to plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliances, painting, and drywall. Education: None Experience: Minimum one (1) year of maintenance experience in the multifamily property management industry License/Certification(s): Valid state driver’s license and current automobile insurance Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: English/Spanish fluency Basic computer and smartphone skills Effective verbal communication and customer service skills Demonstrates professional and respectful behavior Ability to perform physical labor and to lift heavy objects Ability to understand and execute basic instructions Ability to multi-task, use good judgment, and contribute to a team approach to work Must be able to lift, pull, push, and carry at least 50 pounds Ability to travel locally to onsite communities, the corporate office, affiliated organizations, and local municipalities Requirements Principal Responsibilities: Must be willing to work on call as needed Must have a professional, neat, and clean appearance daily Schedules and completes preventative maintenance of units Works within the safety guidelines outlined by the Maintenance Manager and/or the Company With own maintenance tools, repairs structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors May maintain and assist in the repair of HVAC systems as required Maintains property by reporting issues and assisting with cleanup, landscaping, etc. Executes electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks as required Provides excellent customer service to residents and internal stakeholders Prioritizes resident service requests/work orders and ensures they are completed in a timely fashion Performs exterior building light checks and assists with repairs and replacement as required Must be proficient in the use of general maintenance equipment, including, but not limited to, hand tools, paint equipment, electrical saws, ladders, and associated required safety equipment Principal Responsibilities continued: Reviews closed tickets daily and seeks resident feedback Other duties as assigned We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
