Position Title: Ticketing Services Supervisor
Department: Marketing & Patron Experience
Reports To: Ticketing Services Manager (Position Currently Open)
Direct Reports: No direct reports but part-time staff will be accountable to this position on occasion
Type: Part-time; non-exempt; hourly
Compensation: $24 per hour paid weekly
Schedule: Approximately 16-29 hours per week with some weekday work and mostly night and weekend work based on Broadway Dallas event/meeting programming
Location: Music Hall at Fair Park, Dallas, TX
Remote Work: Infrequent: In person at the worksite, with limited remote opportunities at supervisor’s discretion

POSITION SUMMARY:

Come be a part of one of Dallas’ leading non-profit arts organizations! The part-time supervisor position flexes between admin hours during non-show weeks and showtimes during show weeks. Focus on ensuring all aspects of the customer service facing elements of the box office are operating and being executed to the Broadway Dallas level of standards. This includes all walk-up, email, and phone communications. They will delegate tasks to the associates and assist in executing customer service tasks as needed. They will share duties with the full-time supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Access to consistent methods of transport to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and other designated work locations (venues, off-site event/meeting sites, etc.)
  • Minimum two years in ticketing, preferably in the performing arts
  • Demonstrated expertise in ticket selling, exchanging, upgrading, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.
  • One year or more of cash handling experience.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Effective team-oriented work style and communication skills via audio (phone), video conference, text/teams, and in-person.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills, multitask abilities, and proficiency in time management.

PREFERRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree
  • Demonstrated appreciation of musical theatre or the performing arts in general.
  • Experience transacting and reporting in Archtics, Ticketmaster Host, and TM1.
  • Inventory management and/or dynamic pricing experience.
  • Experience in scheduling, training, and leading a team of five or more.
  • Bilingual: ASL and/or Spanish
Responsibilities
  • Assist full-time management in overseeing the day-to-day operations relating to all sales and support box office staff in any of their job functions, as needed.
  • Organize/supervise daily and nightly box office operations.
  • Work with other box office supervisors/managers to ensure accuracy of event/ticketing details in Ticketmaster for presales, on sales, and discount offers go live. This involves checking the ticket types, ticket limits, interactive seat maps services fees, etc.
  • Ensure complete and satisfactory ongoing staff training.
  • Assist management in reconciliation and accounting of all ticket sales for each ticketed event and daily box office sales.
  • Oversee banks/drops and closeout reporting are completed and accurate.
  • Work with other front of house employees on ADA tickets/seating/relocation or troubleshooting needs as they arise.
  • Analyze volume of customer service requests/inquiries and schedule staff accordingly
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for patron complaints, issues, and other troubleshooting.
  • Assist with box office reports and statements for Broadway and other ticketed events.
