Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role is primarily based at a secondary school in St Albans, acting as the senior escalation point for the school and its onsite technician. You’ll manage the network, resolve technical issues, and ensure IT systems support teaching, learning, and administration. While mainly site-based, you’ll also work as part of our Technology in Schools (TiS) team, providing hands-on support to other schools in Hertfordshire when needed. If time allows or if contracts change your responsibilities may expand to include additional sites or projects such as network and Wi-Fi installations, Cloud solutions, and occasional remote service desk support. Some out-of-hours work may be required to keep systems running smoothly during the school day.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

· Deliver on-site and remote IT support for schools, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of Windows, iOS, and Google devices.
· Act as the first point of contact for customer support tickets, resolving issues promptly and escalating when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
· Configure and deploy hardware and software including workstations, tablets, laptops, drivers, and printers, tailored to school environments.
· Support Office 365 administration, including user management, email setup, license allocation, and basic troubleshooting.
· Collaborate effectively with customers, internal teams, and third parties to maintain high service standards and strengthen customer relationships.
