Alt-Tech Inc, a leading Cyber Security and Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in Sherwood Park, is looking for a dedicated IT Infrastructure Analyst to join our dynamic team. With over 15 years of experience, we support businesses of all sizes with top-notch IT solutions.
About the Role: As a Tier 3 Infrastructure Analyst for the mid shift, you will be instrumental in designing, installing, and supporting computer systems and networks. You’ll work alongside our team of certified IT professionals to ensure our clients’ infrastructure runs smoothly, covering everything from cyber security measures to server implementation and training services. The hours for this shift would be 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM. There is flexibility in this shift and can be a hybrid or remote role if preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in Computer Technology or related discipline preferred.
  • Microsoft certification is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining IT systems and networks.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, mainly Azure.
  • Proficient in network administration and cybersecurity measures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid class 5 license with a clean driving abstract.

SKILLS:

  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with MSP tool stack (ticket systems, RMM, vendor portals).
  • Familiarity with project management methods.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Passion for continuous learning and tackling challenges.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting to clients in the greater Edmonton Area.
  • Assist in designing, installing, and maintaining computer systems, networks, and servers.
  • Monitor and manage network performance, implementing necessary improvements.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity measures, including firewalls and antivirus software.
  • Plan and execute technology projects within budget and timeline.
  • Participate in an after-hours On-Call rotation.
  • Train and guide end-users on IT solutions.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and recommend innovative solutions.
  • Manage and support cloud infrastructure, primarily utilizing Microsoft Azure services.
  • Design, implement, and manage SD-WAN network architecture.
  • Oversee server, virtual machines, and network technologies, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Lead and support migration projects, including the transition of on-premises infrastructure to cloud environments or hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Implement security measures, disaster recovery solutions, and best practices across IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure requirements for business applications.
  • Troubleshoot system and network issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of IT services, including performance monitoring and scalability planning.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide documentation and training to internal teams as needed
