Tierpfleger / Animal Technician (m/f/d) - fixed term employment contract with a duration of two years - Would you like to be part of an important division of our quality organization, making sure vaccines can be brought from the factory to the patient? Then you may be our new Animal Technician. Join our QC in vivo team and become an integral part of the growing Quality Control department in Martinsried/Munich! The local QC department consists of about 70 colleagues who, together with sister departments situated in Denmark and Switzerland, form an important part of our quality organization. Together with a team of approx. 20 colleagues in the QC in vivo division, you will operate a BSL-3** animal facility and release quality tested TBE and Rabies vaccine products. Your responsibilities include: Perform and plan animal husbandry activities, e.g., monitoring the animal stock, cage change, feed and water supply, cleaning and hygiene activities Execute in vivo quality control studies in mice for the release of vaccine products under GMP in a BSL3** safety standard animal facility Oversee and support the maintenance of the facility and technical equipment Support maintaining the GMP quality standard, inspections and audits About you - Your qualifications Vocational training as a laboratory animal technician (Ausbildung als Tierpfleger*in, Fachrichtung Forschung und Klinik) or similar education, e.g., veterinary assistant (Tiermedizinische*r Fachangestellte*r) Extensive animal husbandry experience in mice or rodents, including the planning and execution of daily routine husbandry activities and preparation of supplies Experience with executing animal studies, preferably in biotech/pharma or related industry/organization Diligent and reliable working style, ability to follow SOPs, preferably experience with GLP/GMP quality standards Good written and spoken command of the English language; German language skills are of advantage Flexible and proactive working style as well as enjoying being part of a diverse and international team in a team-oriented company culture We offer A chance to work in a position where you will have a direct impact on the health of patients around the world by supporting the release of life-saving vaccines.
