Description

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Valid GTAW (TIG) welder qualifications per ASME Section IX.
  • Certification in ASME, CWB, and TSSA standards preferred.
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship or relevant technical training is an asset.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a welding/fabrication manufacturing environment WORKING ON PRESSURE VESSELS

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • No Facial hair policy in effect on-site due to Silica
  • Experience setting up parameters and operating orbital or weld bed machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
  • Familiar with ERP or SAP systems.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team setting.
    Shift Schedule: Rotational shifts of Days/Afternoons/Nights with 2-week rotations

Responsibilities
  • Set up workstations and welding equipment following safe work procedures.
  • Perform TIG welding operations using jigs and fixtures on sub-assemblies.
  • Interpret blueprints and weld symbols to properly align and fit components.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and proactively address quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to complete fabrication tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
