TIG Welder - Sheet metal fabricator

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Eastern suburbs based manufacturer specializing in precision sheet metal fabrication providing sheet metal solutions from concept to completion. We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team, who can work on a number of different and varied metal products servicing all industries.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication trade or equivalent( Sheetmetal/Boilermaker qualification highly regarded)
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to set and use various welding machines(MIG/TIG,etc)
• Knowledge of welding standards
• Good shop floor communication skills

• Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding techniques for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Welding to standards AS1554/AS1665
• Welding both fillet and butt welds
• Assembly/cutting/drilling/welding and utilizing jig set up when needed
• Train and educate other operators on welding techniques when needed
