SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience as a timber machinist or in a similar woodworking/joinery role
• Strong knowledge of Wood types, machining techniques, and tool use/setting
• Ability to work accurately to tight tolerances and deadlines
• Understanding of workshop safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
• Forklift license (desirable but not essential)

• Operate and maintain timber machining equipment (e.g. Planers/Thicknesser, Weinig moulder, cross-cut saws, Router, spindle moulders, Profile Grinder)
• Machine timber to precise measurements, meeting customer specifications
• Read and interpret cutting lists and technical drawings
• Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy and finish
• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised work area
• Assist with loading/unloading materials and milling as required
