JOB DESCRIPTION
In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must be serving permanently in the title of Assistant Civil Engineer, or must have taken, passed, and be reachable on the Open Competitive Assistant Civil Engineer Exam # 5015 or be eligible under the 55a program.
The Division of Traffic Operations seeks to hire an experienced Assistant Civil Engineer to support traffic signal timing and intersection control operations in the Signals Timing and Intersection Control (STIC) Unit. The successful candidate will be involved in planning, coordinating, and executing signal timing studies, as well as other transportation-related initiatives.

Preference will be given to candidate who possesses a motor vehicle driver’s License valid in the state of New York, which may be required for certain assignments. If required, this license must be maintained for the duration of the appointment.
