Job Functions: Visually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition Repairs casings, if needed, utilizing proper procedures and correct size repair patch Operate buffing machine to remove existing treads from tires and measure tires to determine proper tread width Inspect finished retread utilizing multiple-step high-pressure test machine to ensure the integrity of the casing Receive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc. Assist in distribution center activities as assigned. Responsibilities

The operator will visually inspect tires for retreading suitability and perform necessary casing repairs using correct procedures and patch sizes. Responsibilities also include operating the buffing machine to remove old treads, measuring tires, and inspecting finished retreads using a high-pressure test machine.
