Job Functions: Visually inspect tires to be retreaded to determine condition Repairs casings, if needed, utilizing proper procedures and correct size repair patch Operate buffing machine to remove existing treads from tires and measure tires to determine proper tread width Inspect finished retread utilizing multiple-step high-pressure test machine to ensure the integrity of the casing Receive and unload supplies including tread rubber, cushion gum and repair materials, envelopes, curing rim, tire casings, rims, etc. Assist in distribution center activities as assigned. Responsibilities

The operator is responsible for inspecting tire casings, repairing them as needed, and operating buffing machines to remove old treads. They also perform high-pressure integrity tests on finished retreads and assist with general distribution center activities.
