EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required Education Bachelor's Degree Experience 2 years of experience in tissue allograft distributions, surgery scheduling, purchasing, or logistics Additional years of directly related experience may be considered in lieu of stated degree requirement on a year for year basis. Licenses and Certifications (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE - required to possess a valid Texas Drivers License, pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, and complete drivers training (or van training, if applicable), in accordance with UTS Policy 157, appendix B. Upon Hire Preferred Experience Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred. JOB DUTIES Directs, coordinates, monitors and evaluates allograft/xenograft/autograft storage and distribution functions. Recruits, selects, and supervises appropriately qualified staff to perform distribution functions, including allograft/autograft/xenograft acquisition, storage, inventory and distribution. Provide guidance, instruction and direction to Distribution Specialists in performance of day-to-day operations of distribution functions. Performs and/or coordinates training, competency and development of staff involved in distribution functions. Coordinates duties and scheduling of staff performing distribution functions. Establishes distribution program objectives and goals; directs program evaluation and quality control activities; develops and approves schedule, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, FDA regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies and procedures. Recommends new policies and procedures and/or revisions of current policies and procedures for improvement of distribution functions. Develops, cultivates, and maintains working relationships with internal departments and external organizations to include surgeons, surgery schedulers, tissue vendor representatives, couriers, and shipping companies. Establishes and maintains contracts with tissue/xenografts vendors and medical facilities for distribution functions. Provides information to Accounting for tissue invoicing; assist with resolving Accounting issues related to tissue distribution. Perform duties of Distribution Specialist as needed, including functioning in an on-call capacity for distribution functions. Provide assistance and coordinate communication with other department functional units as needed. Perform other duties as required.
