SUMMARY:
Sequence is seeking a detail-oriented Tissue Processing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and preparing human tissue for surgical transplantation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of tissue processing techniques, equipment, and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable working in a sterile environment.
Basic computer skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as biology, biotechnology, or biomedical engineering.
Experience in tissue processing, preferably in a medical setting.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
Occasional exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens or infectious materials along with occasional exposure to cadaveric specimens.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing and preparing human tissue for surgical transplantation, including cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing.
Operating processing equipment and following standard operating procedures.
Maintaining accurate records of tissue processing and quality control activities.
Participating in the development and implementation of new tissue processing protocols.
Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Participating in the review and resolution of tissue processing issues.
Participating in the training of new staff members.
Assisting with other duties as assigned.
